Oud Du Jour is an Eau de Parfum by Amouroud. Nobel trees seem to have a spirit and a soul, an energy drawn from the Earth that radiates, comforts and protects. Oud develops within the heartwood of these trees. A process that can be compared to an Oyster making a pearl. The rarity of this process makes Oud more costly than gold. Its perfume is a uniquely rich, deep, and intense. It must be used carefully, and by very skilled perfumers to be kept from overpowering the fragrance notes it is blended with.

Oud du Jour is a masters creation, where its many ingredients are seamlessly integrated with the rich oud into a magnificent, soft and sunny perfume. It remains a beautiful and discreet companion all day long, without either overwhelming nor disappearing.

A very dry pink pepper scent at first spray then the rose shows up faintly in the background. I get almost no woods, oud, etc. This is a nice summer scent.

This lacks sweetness of any sort and is a straight up rose/pepper musk on me. It doesn’t smell awful: I can appreciate the rose and pepper, while the patchouli is probably the only thing saving this for me at all. It’s quite poignant and almost regal to the point of being obnoxious. I would spray my linens with this if my grandmother were to visit, but as I prefer some sweetness, unless I add some vanilla, it’s a no for me. It does smell like a lovely bouquet missing something though. To each her own. I have an extra bottle should I run into a more mature woman with a dislike of sweet smells.

Sophisticated oriental gourmand fragrance. Blended notes that really smelled was the rasberry, saffron, and rose. The oud you can smell more whenthe fragrance dries down on the skin. It is unisex it leans more feminine to me.
