Narcotic wormwood completes ginger’s burst of energy. This multi-layered blend is surprisingly fresh but it transforms into an addictively woody scent. The fragrance fuses orris and black pepper with oud in a very subtle and powdery sillage. A clever harmony played around the labdanum and patchouli, brings a grace tone to this unusual hybrid of woody and fresh.

A milky look to the fragrance which I thought was different. The fragrance is very detailed and manly. A little bit stronger then I'm use to it but does smell good.

I immediately liked this fragrance as soon as I put it on. It's Unisex, and I've always preferred more earthy, spicy. I love that it's not sweet or cloying. I also LOVE the idea of it being environmentally friendly and the philosophy of the company. Read about it; it's excellent!

Another great perfume from Maison Sybarite!! This perfume lasts and projects for hours. On the initial spray you get an amazing, cohesive blend of bergamot, ginger, limette an orris. The fresh citrus notes are empowered and complemented by the violet/iris scent of orris root making this unisex/ leaning masculine. The black pepper and patchouli adds the "spice" edge that works so well. The oud/ wood notes anchor the composition and bring that extra complexity to the lighter notes. On the dry down, things really change. The oud and woods bring the masculine into the scene and they play well with the patchouli and labdanum. The musk of the labdanum note enhance the wood notes. However paired with the patchouli, labdanum really intensifies the scent of patchouli's and becomes the main note once the top notes fade. I'm not a huge fan of patchouli as a main note, and it really stands out in the dry down. Patchouli's great and it works with the top notes the first couple hours, but if you're not a fan of it, it might be something to consider once it settles down. For this reason I gave the four stars. Quality ingredients, lasting power and projection is what I've expected from Maison Sybarite and they deliver.

I wanted to love this one based on the note descriptions and hype, but it smelled like a rich old lady's perfume who doesn't mind filling up a room with a heavy scent. That said, I can see the potential, and perhaps smells better on other people. I did not keep this bottle for myself and only wore it three times.
