AMOUROUD Safran Rare is an Eau de Parfum. The richness of Safran Rare rests quietly inside the timid, purple crocus flower. A flower that blooms for a few short days. It’s rich red and fragrant stigmata are hidden inside, three per flower. Carefully harvested by hand, they are sun-dried to concentrate their precious, unusual, silken aroma. The richness of this luxurious note is enchanted and sustained. Finally crowned with an Indian Oud, creating a rare Safran fragrance.

As with all Amouroud perfumes, this is craftsmanship, quality and power. However, something in these ingredients seems to project a very "medicinal" quality, that overtakes the blend, and I'm not sure what it is. The ingredients are all in theory, spectacular. I suspected it was my chemistry, but when I spray it, the quality is there from the get go.
The fragrance itself is powerful, long lasting and the quality of ingredients is notable. Warm, spicy, woody, masculine and daring. Not too floral or gourmand, not too smoky with the incense. 4 stars for quality alone, but that single overpowering note takes away the shine of the composition.

This is a mysterious sexy scent. Like watching that kind of movie or reading a Jackie Collins novel. Lasts hours and leans masculine or a daring female.

Masculine with musk. My favourite fall/winter fragrance! I get complimented on this fragrance EVERY time I wear it! It's so strong and long lasting but with a subtle warmth.

Very Masculine! My fermions do lovely with a little musk scent but this was way too much. I do not like it at all!
