Rich Mess

This one here is not going to be easy to review. I gave this fragrance 4 stars for originality, quality & the transition in the dry down. Because upon first spray I almost gagged. It was brutal but I'm no rookie & know it's a huge mistake to judge a fragrance right out of the gate so i let it sit & I'm glad i did cause the magic with this gem is in the dry down. Man there's so much going on here that I find it addicting trying to pinpoint what I'm smelling. It's an odd one for sure. There's this leathery spicy cedar mixed with a hint of grapefruit & fig that stands out to me. I hate to say this but Rich Mess is a perfect name imo because that's what I get from it (in a good way). It's a mess but a quality mess! If you're like me & enjoy original, challenging fragrances that stand out you're going to love this one. Give it a few minutes before you judge. First spray is off-putting. Longevity and performance is above average & the sillage is right around 5 feet for the first 45 minutes to an hour & then it starts to sit closer to the skin.

This is smoke and very earthy. It's not my type, but well-done!

When I first smelled this I actually thought it was awful, but u let it dry down then I became obsessed. I found it, just like name implies, a mess. Pinpointing a note is difficult, but I found a it dried down, it's a very unique scent. My husband agreed that he didn't know what he liked about it, he just did and I agree, it's very complicated, mature, definitely spicy not at all sweet. Not sure that I would buy it, but the scent is intriguing.

This fragrance is definetely the best scent for cold weather.

I love this fragrance, its so unique and masculine. When you first spray it has an overpowering leather scent, but as it settles its so beautiful.

Dear God No. This is my first scent from here and it was recommended,... not doing that again. The smell: Imagine walking into a bar and you need to meet someone and the bartender directs you behind a curtain. You travel down a long dusty hallway that leads to a red door. Upon opening you are greeted by a dark, dank, dingy room filled with smoke and seedy characters whose faces are masked by the darkness. The smell of cigarette smoke and wet carpet fills yours nose. Everyone is smoking and drinking scotch, or whisky or something strong and dark. The person you are looking for is sitting along the back wall, face hidden, cloaked is mystery. It's as if he is going to send you on a quest to slay a dragon or something. That's what this smell like... Cigarettes alcohol and broken dreams. I feel like I smell like I belong on a government watch list. I smell like I need to be pulled over by the cops. I feel like I smell like lung cancer. I feel like I smell like Pulmonary emphysema. Where my oxygen tank at? It's giving manliness. It's giving leather sofa and bourbon. It's giving brown paper bag with malt liquor can you spare some change. It's giving Hugh Heffner vibes. It's giving I'm wrong for that. I feel like I'm supposed be in a mansion surrounded by hot naked women. It didn't give what it was supposed to gave. But if you want to smell like you grab women by the...let me be quiet, this is the scent for you. This fragrance will Trump all other fragrances. Rich mess is not the correct term. It need to be called " I know you F*** lying".

As a huge lover of fig, I honestly didn't expect this one to sweep me off my feet. And that's hard to do being six foot four. The sandalwood and vanilla combo in the heart of the fragrance is everything.

This is a complex one. I HATE it after 1st use, EVERY time. I can't explain what it is other than a strong woody scent and oddly, I like woody scents. It changes drastically. After 20 minutes it turns into a scent i do like and I can see why it gets its name, that but also still isn't for me. I see this on a very well dressed, business MAN that drives the newest car but keeps it immaculately clean yet simple without a ton of childish gimmicky trinkets all over it inside and out . It's classy, rich, masculine, definitely strong - much more so in the first 20 minutes that it could be off putting. This isn't for me but I use it after my night showers:

Terrible! All you can smell is synthetic leather, not pleasant at all. Skip unless you wanna smell like an effboy.

I also couldn't stand this one when first put on. After some dry down it's not bad, probably will take a few wearings before I really know. Putting on with only 1 spray did not help. This may be one I would like lightly spritzed on clothing.
