Commentary from Joseph Quartana: "Also known as “Foxglove” and besides being a poison flower, Digitalis has a tradition of being used by pagans to summon woodland spirits such as fairies and elves. Thus we created a sparkly, fresh ozonic fragrance to suggest the presence of fairies, set along the banks of a magical wooded stream. It is the most innocent, whimsical and childlike of our fatal potions."

About the Perfumer: David Apel
David Apel, Vice President and Senior Perfumer for Symrise, is one of the internationally top-ranked professionals in his field. He has composed numerous highly-regarded fragrances, including creations for Cerruti, Hugo Boss, Armani, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Estée Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Tom Ford and Avon among others. His fragrances have been awarded many American and European FiFi awards, and David was the recipient of the American Society of Perfumers Young Perfumer Award in 1991. David began his career in 1980 in the fragrance labs at Givaudan, where he became captivated by the raw materials of perfume creation and embarked on a journey to study perfumery. After an apprenticeship, studies at home and abroad, and heading the Chromatography laboratory, he became a Perfumer. David joined the Symrise team in 2007, bringing with him a wealth of international experience, and of course, his passion for creating luxurious fragrances.
