Fat Electrician Semi-Modern Vetiver by Etat Libre d'Orange is an Eau de Parfum. Based on the true story of a once beautiful man who ended up a Fat Electrician. Because while beauty fades, a good fragrance is forever. And contrary to the name, this is an ever attractive and wearable vetiver-based scent modernized by woody Vanilla Bean and balsamic Myrrh.

Everybody always ask me what I’m wearing! A compliment grabber.

This is a perfect blend of nutty, creaminess with vetiver. I got 6 hours and sillage was all day. The name is really interesting so I had to try.

This fragrance is interesting and subtle in many ways, but it is somehow also very harsh. Reviews elsewhere call it "screechy" and some have even compared it to "burnt wires". To me, it is a really sweet version of Armor-All car interior cleaner/polish but in a generally positive way. It touches on a masculine green, but only distantly. Unfortunately, the synthetic nature induces a headache in me, which is a shame because I could see this growing on me otherwise. It gives notes of leather, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate, and vetiver emerges in the drydown. There is very, very little sage in the background working to dry out the sweeter hits of hazelnut. Overall, I can see this working for some people, but def not for me.
