From the native Hawaiian language meaning, "Red Sunset" or "Red Shadow", aka'ula is an intriguingly intense fragrance of volcanic smoke and island spice accords. Fragrance Notes: Spicy Ginger CO2 extract, Vetiver, and Pineapple Leaves warm to Agarwood and Vanilla with rich Coffee and Smoke notes. (Fragrance 20%/vol)

Unique has a tropical sweetness smell with ouds and smokey dry down.

Smokey vetiver with a touch of sweetness (though I don’t get pineapple). Too masculine for me but it smells great on my husband!

I'm giving this one 5 stars for its daring boldness! My oh my! I thought I was something of a budding perfume connoisseur, but this is without question a first! Definitely evocative of the smoke-filled woody outdoors. The sweet and fresh undertones are tantalizingly close to the dry smoke, but they just do not peak through enough to dominate. Our men folk like wearing this masculine attention-grabber.
